Step by step

  1. Provide the source using: Hide private details before sharing.
  2. Set: Interaction / Left (px) / Top (px) / Width (px) / Height (px). Use the reference below to choose the options that fit your task.
  3. Choose: Apply black box / Generate redacted PNG. Inspect the result before copying, downloading or using it elsewhere.
  4. Draw a box with a margin around the email, apply it, then repeat for any order number. Generate a PNG and inspect the exported image before confirming the download.

Choosing the settings

Example and expected result

In the sample, a box at left 50, top 125, width 400 and height 50 covers the example email. A second box at left 50, top 215, width 400 and height 50 covers the order number. The issue description remains visible. The output keeps the 900 × 600 dimensions. These example positions are not suitable for other screenshots.

If it is not working

  • This is manual image redaction, not automatic privacy detection or PDF redaction. Leave a margin around private text and inspect the exported PNG. Other visible details may still identify someone. Editing, removing or undoing a box disables the previous download until you generate and review again.
  • Inspect the exported file at its actual pixel size, especially text, edges and transparent areas. A preview that looks good when reduced can still have visible defects in the downloaded image.
  • If an image is rejected, check its decoded dimensions as well as its file size. Export a supported still image from the original app and retry with fewer pixels; renaming an extension does not convert the file.
