How do shaped crops work?
Circle and rounded crops are saved as PNG with transparent corners. The file itself is rectangular; apps that do not show transparency may display a background. Rounded corners use a radius of 12% of the shorter edge.
Will the image lose quality?
The export uses the selected original pixels without upscaling. Zooming selects a smaller area, so the output has fewer pixels. PNG avoids an extra lossy compression step. The original file stays unchanged; exported metadata is removed and browser color rendering may differ.
