Create random passwords, choose the character types and copy one or ten at once.
Choose a length and character types, generate a password, then copy it into your password manager.
Passwords are never stored or sent anywhere. Use a unique password for each account and a password manager.
The meter estimates entropy, not account security. It is not a security guarantee.
A password generator creates a random sequence of characters instead of relying on words or patterns you can remember. This tool uses your browser’s crypto.getRandomValues and lets you choose the length and character types. Passwords are never stored or sent anywhere.
Choose a length and character types, generate a password, then copy it into your password manager.
Choose 16 characters, uppercase and lowercase letters, digits and symbols. Expected: a fresh 16-character password containing every selected type. Generate ten at once to create ten independent passwords; the entropy estimate depends on your chosen options.
| Character type | Available characters |
|---|---|
| Uppercase letters | 26 |
| Lowercase letters | 26 |
| Digits | 10 |
| Symbols | 32 |
Excluding ambiguous characters removes 0, O, 1, l and I from their respective groups. Every selected group appears at least once.
Lengths from 8 to 64 characters. Generate one password or ten at once. At least one character type must be selected. The meter estimates entropy from this generator’s character pool and constraints; it is not a security guarantee. Use a unique password for each account and a password manager. Clipboard access may be blocked; select the result and copy it manually.
Use a long, unique password that fits the receiving service’s requirements. This tool defaults to 16 characters; longer random passwords increase the search space. Use a password manager rather than reusing a password.
They use crypto.getRandomValues. The generator rejects out-of-range random bytes so each allowed character has the same chance, and requires each selected character type to appear.
No. Passwords exist only in this page’s memory until you clear it or leave. Copying puts the password on your device’s clipboard; your operating system or clipboard manager may retain it.
Entropy, shown in bits, estimates the size of the space of possible generated passwords. It does not measure account security or protect against phishing, malware or password reuse.
Choose at least one character type. If secure randomness is unavailable, use a current browser. If copying is denied, select and copy the result manually.
