QR Code Generator

Turn a URL or text into a QR code you can download and print.

Enter the complete destination URL, generate the code and download PNG or SVG. Scan the exported code with a phone before printing.

Paste a full URL including https://, or enter text. Spaces and line breaks are preserved.

0 / 1,200 UTF-8 bytes

The final pixel size depends on your content. SVG stays sharp at any size.

How to use

What is a static QR code?

A QR code stores the text you enter directly in its pattern. This generator does not create a short link or a tracking redirect, and it does not check whether a destination website is safe or available.

Step by step

  1. Paste a complete URL including https://, or enter the exact text you want someone to read.
  2. Choose image size and error correction, then generate. Keep the white border around the code.
  3. Download PNG or SVG and scan the exported file with a phone. For printing, test the final printed size before producing many copies.

Choosing the settings

OptionWhat changes
Small / Standard / LargeThese change pixels per QR module: 4 / 8 / 12. The final dimensions depend on the encoded content, so Standard is not a fixed pixel width.
Standard / Higher correctionHigher correction creates a denser pattern. It is not a guarantee that a small, damaged or low-contrast print will scan.
PNG / SVGPNG is a raster image. SVG can be resized for a print layout without blurring the module edges.

Example and expected result

The practice URL https://example.com/ contains 20 ASCII characters and 20 UTF-8 bytes. A successful scan returns that exact URL. Changing the URL means generating a new code; the image does not update itself when you later edit a page.

If it is not working

  • The input limit is 1,200 UTF-8 bytes. Non-ASCII letters and emoji can use several bytes each. Shorten long content if it exceeds the limit or cannot be encoded at the selected correction level.
  • If scanning fails, enlarge the print, restore the white border, use strong contrast and shorten the URL. Test the real destination separately; a scan is not a website availability check.

Will this QR code expire?

The code stores your content directly and does not expire through ToolRobin. It has no tracking redirect. A linked website can still change or stop working. To change the encoded content, generate a new code.

How can I make it easy to scan?

Use short content, keep the white border, and leave enough room when printing. Black on white gives clear contrast. Download SVG for layouts that need resizing, and test with a phone before printing many copies. Higher correction creates a denser pattern and cannot guarantee a scan.

Is my URL opened or my text saved?

No. Generation runs on your device. This page does not visit the URL, shorten it, send your content anywhere, or save it in your tool history. The downloaded code itself contains your content, so share it only where intended.
