  1. Provide the source using: Resize an image to the dimensions you need.
  2. Set: Width (px) / Height (px) / How to fit / Allow enlargement / Output format / Maximum file size (optional) / Encoding quality. Use the reference below to choose the options that fit your task.
  3. Choose: Resize image. Inspect the result before copying, downloading or using it elsewhere.
  4. Enter the width and height, then choose whether to fit inside the bounds or pad to an exact canvas. Select an output format and check the exported dimensions.

The final file is checked after encoding; a size limit is not a promise about visual quality or acceptance by another website.

Example and expected result

For a 1200 × 630 banner, a 1600 × 900 photo fits at 1120 × 630. Padding adds 40 pixels on each side to reach the exact canvas. To fill the banner without borders, use the cropper and remove part of the image.

If it is not working

  • Padding keeps the whole image. If the receiving service forbids borders or requires a specific crop, use Image Crop first. We do not check faces, identity-photo rules, DPI or the receiving site's other requirements.
  • Inspect the exported file at its actual pixel size, especially text, edges and transparent areas. A preview that looks good when reduced can still have visible defects in the downloaded image.
  • If an image is rejected, check its decoded dimensions as well as its file size. Export a supported still image from the original app and retry with fewer pixels; renaming an extension does not convert the file.
