Frequently asked questions

Why can the first task take a while to start?

The browser-based audio engine needs to load the first time. Later tasks on the same page usually start faster.

Are files uploaded to a server?

Core processing runs in your browser. Source files are not sent to ToolRobin servers by default.

Can I use these tools on a phone?

Yes. Large files work better on a desktop. A mobile browser may stop processing if memory is low.

Why can’t vocal removal eliminate every vocal?

This tool reduces centered audio using stereo cancellation; it does not separate tracks with AI. It cannot remove vocals from mono audio or identical left and right channels, and may produce silence. Reverb, off-center vocals and centered instruments affect the result.

What file sizes can I process?

Limits depend on your device memory and browser. Start with files under a few hundred megabytes and avoid running multiple tasks at once.
