IP Address Lookup

Check public IP ownership, network and approximate location using a public lookup service.

This lookup sends the entered query to the public provider named on this page. ToolRobin does not store the query; the provider's privacy policy applies.

Query provider: ipwho.is; “Use my public IP” also contacts api.ipify.org. The lookup runs only after you submit. Review the provider and privacy boundary before sending a query.

Enable JavaScript to run this public lookup.

What the lookup sends

This tool sends the query you enter to the named public provider to request public registry, DNS, network or certificate information. ToolRobin does not store query values. The external provider receives the request and may process its network metadata under its own privacy policy.

What the result means

IP registration and approximate network location are not a person’s precise location. VPNs, mobile carriers, proxies and shared networks can change what the lookup shows.

Inspect the network associated with an IP address

Enter an IPv4 or IPv6 address, or ask the site to detect the public address seen by ipify, then inspect the reported network, ASN and approximate location.

Example and expected result

8.8.8.8 is registered to Google’s public DNS network. Location is approximate and refers to network registration or routing, not the exact location of a person or device.
